Sam Pena *SENIOR* #IotaSpotlight

Updated: Apr 12, 2018

"My favorite memory as an ADPi is a bittersweet one. It's one that I will always remember and cherish. It was during the last round of the last day of recruitment this year. As a tradition, all of the seniors line up on the stairs, ready to walk down and partake in recruitment for the last time. There was a mix of emotions shared between us as we went down. As we continued to take each step, we all grew teary-eyed with the thought of leaving our best friends. As the same time, we were all filled with joy because we were granted this wonderful sisterhood. The house filled with potential new members. Shortly after, our president, Leila, started to speak about how loving and wholesome our chapter is. This is when everyone around me (including myself) just broke down in tears. We were all so happy to have found one another, and yet so sad at the thought of being apart.... it was both heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time." -Sam Pena

This one's for you, Sam Pena! Congratulations to all that you have accomplished here at Florida State and as a woman of Alpha Delta Pi! We're so thankful for you and the opportunity to have you as the next #IotaSpotlight in our senior spotlight series.

Sam participated in formal recruitment as a sophomore and is a member of our Alpha Class 2015. During her membership, she has utilized her skills and her dedication to her studies to serve as our Scholarship Chair. "When it comes down to it, we're all here for one thing: our studies. I loved this position because I was able to guide my sisters towards academic success. I worked with our Director of Standards and Ethics to tailor an individualized plan for every member. It was so rewarding to see my sisters improve in their academics! -Sam Pena

Next month, Sam will be graduating with a degree in Marketing and Professional Sales. She also has minors in Psychology and Biological Sciences. Sam has recently accepted a position with the Hershey Company! In July, she will be working for the company as a Retail Sales Representative. "I'm waiting for the company to tell me where I'll be relocated! I'll be in charge of selling/distributing Hershey products in that area. I'll also be implementing promotional and merchandising strategies to further build The Hershey Company. How SWEET is that!" -Sam Pena
